Privacy Policy

1. Your text never reaches us
This comes first because a tool that asks you to paste documents into it should be explicit about what happens to them. Everything you type, paste or open with the file button — the text itself, the counts, the transformed result — is processed entirely inside your own browser by JavaScript running on your device. It is not transmitted to us, not written to any server, and never received by us in any form.
This is not something you have to take on trust. LineBreaks has no backend at all — it is a folder of static files, so there is no address for your text to be sent to. If you would rather see that than be told it, open your browser's developer tools, keep the network panel visible, and paste a document into any page here: it stays empty while the counters and the converted result update in front of you. The text lives in the page's memory alone and is gone when you reload or close the tab. The one thing that leaves your browser is a file you save yourself with the .txt button, and that goes to your own disk.
2. Information we collect
No account, no sign-up, no personal information, and no contact form. We do not ask for your name, email address or any other identifying detail in order to use any page here. If you email us through the address on the contact page, that message reaches an ordinary mailbox in the ordinary way and is not connected to this website.
3. Cookies and third-party advertising
This site may display third-party advertising, including Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info. Users in the EEA and UK may also be shown a consent prompt where required by law.
These advertising cookies are set by the ad vendor and are entirely separate from the tools on this site. No text you paste, and no result of any conversion, is available to them — the converter and the advertising script do not share data, and there is no data to share because the converter never sends any.
4. Analytics
We may use privacy-friendly, cookie-free aggregate analytics (for example Cloudflare Web Analytics) to count page views and see which pages are useful. No personally identifying information is collected, and nothing you paste into any tool — no text, no counts, no character inventory, no result — is ever included in analytics data.
5. Local storage and cookies set by the tools
The tools set no cookies and write nothing to local storage. The mode, the options and the contents of the boxes are held in the page's memory for as long as the page is open, and that is all. A landing page that opens in a particular mode does so because that mode is written into its own markup, not because anything was remembered about you.
6. Files you open
The Open .txt button uses the browser's own file reader to load a file you choose into the page. The file is read on your device and its contents go into the same in-memory text box as a paste would. It is not uploaded. The .txt download button works the same way in reverse: the result is turned into a temporary object in your browser and handed to your own download mechanism.
7. Affiliate disclosure
Some links on this site may be affiliate links, meaning we could earn a commission if you purchase something through them. This never changes the price you pay, and it never influences what a tool does, what a table says, or which option is recommended. Where a page carries an affiliate link we aim to make that clear on the page.
8. Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and every part of this site will keep working, because none of its functionality depends on them. You are equally welcome to use it with an ad blocker. This service is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
9. Results are not a guarantee
The conversions here are deterministic and tested, but they are text transformations, not a backup service. Keep a copy of anything that matters before transforming it — and note in particular that normalising a mixed-ending file discards the information about which breaks were which, as the conversion page explains.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be reflected on this page rather than announced separately.
11. Contact
Questions about privacy can go to the contact page or rlaejrtn16@gmail.com.
